Tilegarina
This is a dish from my Mom, Joan Tolbert. It takes several steps to make but serves many and reheats well. (Tonya Duvall)
8 oz. pkg noodles 2 T. Wesson® oil
1 cup onion, chopped 1 t. garlic powder
1 green pepper, chopped 2-8oz cans tomato sauce
2 lbs ground beef 2 t. salt
½ t ground black pepper 3 T. chili powder
2-16oz cans corn, drained 1 lb. American cheese, cubed
Cook the noodles, drain. In a medium pan, heat oil. Add onion, garlic powder, green pepper and tomato sauce. Simmer together. Brown ground beef with salt, black pepper, and chili powder.
Mix noodles, tomato sauce mixture, and beef together. Add corn and cheese. Toss together and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
