Washboard Cookies (Ola Edwards)

2 eggs 2 T. hot water
1 ½ c. sugar 1 t. soda
½ c. brown sugar 1 t. vanilla
1 c. shortening
Roll dough into balls. Press into cookie sheet. Bake at 325° until light brown, about 10-12 minutes.
