Caramelized Cheetos (Jill Taylor Jackson)

(Preheat oven to 250)

2 sticks of butter

2 c brown sugar

½ c corn syrup (light or dark)

½ tsp baking powder

3 15 oz bags of crunchy Cheetos® (I use 2 family sized bags)

In saucepan, bring first 3 ingredients to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.

Take off heat and stir in baking powder.

Spray Pam or butter large baking dishes or cookie sheets… (I use

large tin, disposable roasting pans) whatever you have that will allow

you spread the Cheetos out as evenly as possible.

While hot/liquid, pour brown sugar mixture over Cheetos and stir to

coat as evenly as possible.

Bake at 250 for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes. (I coat the plastic spoon/spatula with Pam too before stirring.)

Spread out on wax paper to cool.

Yields a lot of darn good Cheetos.
