Sour Cream Banana Bars (Betty June Koricanek)

1 ½ c. sugar 2 c. flour
1 c. sour cream 1 t salt
½ c. butter, softened 1 t. baking soda
2 eggs 1 t. baking powder
½ c. mashed bananas ½ c. chopped pecans
2 t. vanilla
Brown Butter Frosting
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease and flour jellyroll pan. Mix sugar, sour cream, butter and eggs on low speed for 1 min. Beat in bananas and vanilla on low speed. Add flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Stir in nuts. Spread dough in jellyroll pan. Bake 20 to 25 min.
BROWN BUTTER FROSTING:
¼ c. butter 1 t. vanilla
2 c. powdered sugar 3 T. milk
Heat butter over medium heat until delicate brown (be careful not to burn). Mix in powdered sugar. Beat well. Add vanilla and milk. Beat until smooth and of spreading consistency. Spread over warm bars.
