Coconut Fudge (Marilyn Brown)

2 c. sugar ½ c. milk

3 T. butter or margarine ½ t. vanilla

4 T. white corn syrup

Mix sugar, milk and syrup. Slowly bring to soft ball stage. Stir often. Remove from fire. Stir in margarine. Cool about 15-20 minutes. Beat until thickens (about 5 minutes). Add 1 cup coconut and vanilla. Pour into a buttered pan. When cool, cut into squares.
