Pecan Pie (Mary Jo Tolbert)

From Mary Jo Tolbert's recipes.

3 slightly beaten eggs

1 cup sugar

1 cup light corn syrup

1 t. vanilla

1/4 t. salt

1 cup pecan halves

1- 9 inch unbaked pie shell

Combine first 5 ingredients. Mix well. Sprinkle pecans on unbaked pie shell. Add filling. Bake in hot oven 450F for 10 minutes. Then moderate oven 325F for 40 minutes or until mixture doesn't adhere to knife.
