Strawberry Lemonade Punch (Mary Jo Tolbert)

1 1/2 pints strawberries, washed and hulled
2 - 6 oz cans of lemonade
1/3 cup sugar
3 cups cold water
3 cups gingerale
Crush strawberries and mix with lemonade and sugar. Let stand for 1/2 hour to an hour. When ready to serve, add water, and mix well. Pour over ice, then add gingerale. Serve in punch cups or glasses. Makes 2 1/2 quarts.
