Raisin Rolls (Louise Tatum)

Submitted by Kay Hillje for Ola Edwards, my great grandmother. This is one of my favorites!! I used to love when my grandmother, Louise Tatum, made these.

Cook 3 cups raisins over medium heat until plump. Then drain off water. Mix your own biscuit recipe and roll out small portions into pie shapes. Spread raisins over rolled dough. Roll up and slice into ½ inch pieces. Lay flat into greased pan. Repeat until all raisins are used. Bake at 350°. When done, remove rolls from pan into a deep bowl or dish and pour Banana Pudding Sauce over it.

Banana Pudding Sauce:

1 ½ c. sugar 1 egg, beaten

½ c. flour 2 ½ c. milk

Cook over medium heat until thickened; add ½ teaspoon vanilla. Cool and pour over rolls. Serve warm or cold.
